PROJECT RESULTS

O1 Innovative VET curricula blending VR and EU standards

A key activity of the project is to provide an adapted curricula for VET in the sphere of real estates, that ensures the practical training to be held online, and integrating Virtual Reality in the practical training. Thus, the current intellectual product will not only complement the work on all other intellectual products of the project but will also become a model with practical approaches to convergence that seek to fill an increasingly divisive gap between the various stakeholders in society - young people, aging workers, VET providers, employers.

The current intellectual product is aimed at creating mechanisms for upgrading VET curricula based on current and projected future labor market needs and finding successful approaches to uniting the interests of VET providers with those of employers in the real estate market. The latter is of direct benefit to trainees who, as a result of improved interaction, will receive direct VET-oriented competitiveness, with all the benefits of remote e-learning and practical VR training, which will introduce VR and EU standards, making the learning process accessible and effective. The integrated curricula will explore and include both the business needs, and will impose the EU business standards in the field of real estate agents, property and facility management. The adaptation will link those needs to established educational and training standards, and fully update the practical trainings. A "roadmap" for mutual upgrading and convergence between business interests, VET needs and learner specificities will be developed - in a direction leading to increased efficiency, initiative and competitiveness.

As a result of the implementation of this intellectual output, a practical training curricula will blended with knowledge in virtual reality and EU standards, for the all occupations within the professional field of “Real estate agents and property management”, which include:

- real estate agent

- real estate broker

- property manager

- facility manager

- real estate dealer

O2 Methodology for integration and Assignment for development of e-learning web platform with VR practical module

The developed "road map" for mutual updating and convergence between business interests, VET needs and learner specifics, will be integrated into a two modules platform: (1) e-learning theory platform and (2) VR tools within a web-platform to be used by learners and trainers. The integrity of this environment requires setting up of specific methodology for integration of the practical training curricula into the online and VR instruments. At the earliest stage of the project, we want to lay the foundations for a coherent, logical and goal-oriented development of web design and software code, which will ensure the subsequent high quality of the basic intellectual outputs we expect to be developed. Stepping on the adapted training curricula and the blending of the EU standards, done on the previous stage, we plan to transmit this knowledge into a technical assignment where pedagogical specialists together with web-designers, systemarchitects and code-programmers will technically clarify how to build the VET web-platform and what additional solutions it needs in order to meet the needs of integration of the practical training VET curricula into e-learning and VR environment. The basis of the assignment will be the inclusion of all functional and technical requirements to build an onlinea learning environment with core all feature and a stable VR builder for uploading and editing of 360° photos and videos, with options to categorise users, written and image content. The requirements should include the development of the learners and trainers tools, as well as business tools for training employers and onboarding staff.

O3 Software development of a VR Builder core

The technology is based on photo and video shooting capabilities of 360° panoramas and linking these panoramas to logical transitions that are "training tours". Photo and video panoramas at 360° become an interactive practical VR space where the added interactive elements allow users to get “inside” the surrounding work environment, audio and video, the used equipment, and so on. So they can choose from embedded graphic elements, flat and 360° photos, texts, audio files, video files that tell them about the relevant practical aspects the occupation - in time and sequence chosen by the users themselves and placed according to the specifics of their perceptions.

This should be made possible by the creation of an the intuitive interface allowing stakeholders to easily create and integrate training VR into the system, introduce interactive elements and create "scenarios" of "learning tours" through which the user can attend the working environments of the selected occupations.

The learner will be able to see a ‘virtual” live person, representing the specific occupation in a work-based environment, showing in practice how to deal with the duties and explain the specifics of the work while being involved in the site - in the interactive work-based "space" of his future job. The module will also allow the students and VET learners to practice their skills in using virtual reality for their business.

O4 E-learning VET platform for RES trainers and learners

The e-learning platform for the RES trainers and learners to be developed is divided into two main modules: e-learning module for training and teaching theory and VR module for practical training. The platform will provide a logical and integrated approach for using both modules. The e-learning module will feature two main types of users – trainers and learners. The main features of the intruments for the VET trainers will include:

1. Member area with trainers information, training institution or employer – personal and professional data with respective access level.

2. Adaptation of existing OERs in accordance to the trainers needs and specific training activities. Adaptation may be possible for the timeframe, add-ons of theory and practice, adding tutorials, etc.

3. Adaptation of testing and exercising tool – in accordance to the trainers needs and specific training activities.

4. Tool for bookmarking, discussion within a closed group of learners and/or trainers, online chat with the learners and students (when the training is provided in a live mode)

5. Private messaging and members communication.

It is also an option for all registered trainers to upload their own training materials and make them available for all and/or restrict their access among specific training group. The trainers instruments will provide to the specified target groups valuable resources for provision of high-quality and user friendly practical VET.

The software development will be delivered through the implementation of two phases: research of available open source software platforms, which could be applied to the objectives of the output. These might be open source softwares like Worpress, Joomla, Moodle, MyIcourse, Schoology, eFront, and many more.

O5 Pilot database of OERs

The innovative nature of this project includes a qualitatively new approach to the presentation of the practical implications for the occupations within the professional field of “Real estate agents and property management”. Through the extensive use of interactive VR technologies, learning content will be created, distinguished by accessibility, directness and efficiency in learning new knowledge and skills, and smooth transition from the stage of training to the employment stage. The pilot OERs will be the ultimate presentation of the project – integration of an upgraded VET curriculum, which is blending the European standards and applies a cutting-edge technology in the practical training of the learners.

The pilot OERs will contain the practical trainings in the professional field of “Real estate agents and property management”, which includes: - real estate agent - real estate broker - property manager - facility manager - real estate dealer They will consist of both theory in the e-learning environment and practice in the VR module. Each OER will be included in training modules, depending on their content and will be categorised within the platform. The training modules may consist, but not limited to, the following curricula:

1. RE Agents/Brokers/Dealer Module

- RE business psychology

- Economy aspects

- Marketing, advertising, images

– Photography, video

- Types of properties

- Financing rules а

– Banking, mortgages

- EU Standards, Code of conduct, ethics

2. Property and facility management

- Property maintenance and risk management

- Marketing and services outsourcing

- IREM standard for planning of property management

- Skills measurement

- EU Standards
